John T. Boston, many years ago, died intestate, seized and possessed of 723 1/2 acres of land, leaving surviving him six children, viz: John W. Boston, C. M. Boston, Seymour Boston, Mrs. Lillie Leighton, Mrs. Annie Tenney and Mrs. Mary Clark, who as his heirs-at-law inherited the said real estate. It being the desire of the heirs to sell the land, the same was in the year 1915 listed for sale with W. W. Briggs, a real estate agent residing in Madison county. Briggs succeeded in interesting several parties in the land with a view to purchasing same, but in each instance, upon objection by some one of the heirs, the sale was not consummated.
